Letter from the Secretary General

Delegates,
It is my honor to introduce FlagMUN, the first United Nations conference for high school students, hosted by Flagler College from March 8th-9th, 2025. The incredible Flagler delegation has dedicated months of hard work to organizing this event, and none of it would have been possible without them. I would like to give special recognition to Alana Ardan, our Under Secretary General and Head Delegate of Crisis, whose ideas, hard work, and unwavering motivation have been key to making FlagMUN a reality.
FlagMUN will bring together future leaders from different nations to engage in a dynamic, fun, and academic environment where they will craft solutions to global challenges. From debating the possible removal of a permanent member of the Security Council to unraveling the mysteries that lie in the backrooms, FlagMUN is a place where creativity and problem-solving know no bounds—whether for the better or worse of the world.
Since 7th grade, I’ve been passionate about United Nations conferences. However, where I come from, these conferences were only accessible in large cities; so my first opportunity to participate was in virtual conferences during the pandemic. Hosting a United Nations conference once seemed like an impossible dream, but I was wrong. As the Head Delegate of the General Assembly and Secretary General of FlagMUN, I hope every student who attends feels the same excitement and passion for Model United Nations that I felt as a high school sophomore the moment I turned on the camera for my first conference.
If you have any questions about the conference, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
